PLEA for HELP: We are always searching for copies of original instruction sheets and booklets for ANY old clock to add to these pages. If you have one lying at the back of a drawer, gathering dust, could we ask that you consider letting us scan it to include on our site? |
400 Day instruction Sheet for Schatz clocksSchatz Miniature 400 Day Clock Instruction Sheet circa:1954 The original 'handbook of instructions' for the clock described how to: ...unlock the pendulum, ...wind, ...start, ...set, ...and regulate the clock. It also gave reasonably detailed instructions on how to replace the suspension spring. * *NOTE: Although we have reprinted the instructions below for the information and enjoyment of the many thousands of owners of these clocks, ...we do not recommend that you try replacing the suspension spring of your clock yourself. It requires some knowledge of fine tolerance work, and you will need to be 'more than just competent' at mechanical activities. Changing the Oil Filter on your family car is NOT the same as changing the suspension spring on your clock. Doing so, (changing the spring) requires a very deft and delicate touch if you are not to damage the spring in the process. Obviously, we would always recommend that you take the opportunity to use our services for this operation. ![]() ![]() ![]()
